The Rules in simple terms
1. High Throwing definition: throw a flag as high as possible in the air. By ticking a horizontal bar the height is measured. 2. The flag unit has two main parts: the stick and the flag.
3. For the contest there are 4 individual categories:
Next to the individual categories there is a Group competition: each group consist of 4 individual contestants 4. Everybody can apply to participate to the contest. The only condition is that a flag can be safely thrown and caught back. 5. A throwing is valid when the thrower tosses the flag within the safety area, vertically upwards, the stick touches the measuring bar end the thrower catches back the flag unit. The way of throwing is free. 6. In the qualifying rounds the measuring bar is lifted 50cm higher for each round. 7. The participants can skip every height but only the throwers’ highest valid attempt will count for the result. 8. The participant gets 3 attempts per height to make a valid throwing. 9. When the participant cannot make a valid throwing on a height, then (s)he is eliminated. 10. For the last 8 participants there is a final round 11. During the final round the bar will go up with 10cm 12. The winner is the participant who can make the highest valid throwing 13. In the Group Category, the winning group is the one with highest sum of the heights of the 4 group members. 14. Each person can be part of only 1 group. 15. The participant will throw at his own risk. The contest organizer has the right to exclude participants from the contest who do not act safely.
